My aunt is a recent widow at 90. Has been in assited living since May. Her health is declining with two short hospital stays within the last month. They sent her to rehab to make her stronger to go back to assited living. Cancer from 1997 in breast which has remissed since the past summer is now in the bone. Kidneys are 20 to 30 percent functioning with meds for those high and low numbers. She is also diabetic, not on insulin. Right now only on lasix, blood pressure med and glipizide. She hates pt and wants out of there and ony wants to go back to assisted living and not be on all those drugs which she blames on how rotten she feels. We can't seem to convince anyone at assited living or the rehab that she wants out of there. Her mental state is slowly getting depressed and she is so sad and mad . I have control and am trying to abide by her wish. Medicare is paying for those first 20 days and the place just seems to base this stay on money How can I force what WE want
